Our platform team ensures our products are scalable, secure, and efficient. We seek a Backend Engineer to help build and maintain the shared services powering our ecosystem. Role details: Location: Headquartered in SoHo, NYC, with options for remote work. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain backend systems supporting shared services. Write high-quality, well-tested code and review peers' code. Provide technical guidance and leadership on architectural and coding decisions. Drive strategic technical initiatives impacting the engineering organization. Enhance developer productivity and system reliability through automation and best practices. Requirements: 6+ years of software engineering experience, focusing on infrastructure. Proficiency in TypeScript, Go, or Rust. Strong coding skills, understanding of AWS, algorithms, and debugging. Experience building large-scale cloud systems with high availability. Ability to build systems from scratch (0→1). Passion for scalable, reliable systems enabling high-quality features. Nice to Have: Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi. Knowledge of distributed systems, authentication, developer tooling. Degree in computer science. Background in blockchain or DeFi. Interest in unicorns :) Salary range: $210,000-$232,000, with additional benefits including equity, tokens, health coverage, gym subsidy, 401(k), education stipend, parental leave, remote setup stipend, and more.
