Job Description
Our DevOps Engineer II is a key member of the engineering staff working across Business Services Engineering, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure Engineering to ensure that our client provides a fiction-less experience to our customers, and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between.
Position Responsibilities:
Build resilient services for extending and improving DevOps capabilities. Building and setting up new development tools and infrastructure. Engage in cross-functional collaboration with developers throughout the entire software lifecycle and provide level 2 technical support. Perform root cause analysis for production errors and resolve technical issues. Consistently share best practices and improve processes within and across teams. Leverage your technical skills to optimize and drive toward the right solution.
Qualifications
Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role. Experience working in an Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe). Experience with any IaC tool. Understanding of Monitoring Tools such as Splunk or Application Insights. Intermediate PowerShell scripting skills. Intermediate level understanding of Azure Network such as security zones, VNETs, and Public Peered Services. Strong Understanding of Azure PaaS and IaaS services. Strong problem-solving ability and attitude. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment. Knowledge of developer tooling across the software development life cycle (task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, real-time communication).
Required Experience
2+ years of non-internship professional DevOps or software development experience. 2+ years of experience with architecture and design (Bonus). 2+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service. 2+ years of experience in open-source frameworks.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
