Bamboo Insurance Job Summary We are searching for a Software Engineer Integration to join Bamboos growing Technology team. In this position, you will contribute to the design and development of our Guidewire integration architecture, which includes our own custom applications/services as well as integration with existing software vendors. To ensure success, you should exhibit strong development skills and extensive experience in distributed application design with a focus on microservices. You will be responsible for documenting design and architecture, developing new services using Guidewires integration framework, and performing code reviews. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience as a Software Engineer and three years of Guidewire Integration development experience. Duties/Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain our application and integration architecture with Guidewire InsuranceSuite Cloud. Partner with the DevOps team on establishing AWS CodePipelines. Assess the business impact of technical choices.
Required Skills/Abilities Expertise in RESTful web services architecture and microservices. Experience with implementing and integrating Guidewire InsuranceSuite Cloud with third-party services. Guidewire Certified Specialist certification. Programming experience in Java and Gosu. Experience in containerized, distributed application development. Knowledge of frameworks such as Apache Kafka, Apache Camel, Spring Boot. Experience with Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps, Confluence. Skills in organizing and facilitating meetings across stakeholders. Adept at presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Effective planning and prioritization skills.
Required Education and Experience Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent experience. At least five years of Software Engineer-related experience. At least three years of Guidewire Integration development experience. Advanced knowledge of the full software development life cycle.
Preferred Requirements Property and Casualty Insurance domain knowledge.
Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
