Senior Business Applications Specialist - SAP RTR 04/17/2025 Contract Active Job Description: Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced IS&T Sr Business Applications Specialist to support and optimize SAP Finance, Controlling, and Project Systems across key business initiatives. This position is responsible for analyzing business needs, configuring SAP systems, supporting integrations, and guiding the implementation of new solutions, upgrades, and best practices. This is a dynamic role involving cross-functional collaboration, hands-on configuration, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement within an enterprise environment. Primary Responsibilities: Analyze business context and objectives to translate into actionable SAP system requirements. Lead and contribute to SAP Finance / Controlling / Project Systems projects, including system enhancements and full-cycle implementations. Conduct stakeholder workshops and deliver RACI matrix, scope documents, process workflows, test plans, and training guides. Collaborate with UX designers, software architects, and cross-functional teams to define and validate solutions. Perform fit-gap analysis and support deployment readiness with business and technical stakeholders. Develop high-quality functional specifications and assist technical teams during development. Configure SAP modules (FI/CO/PS), and support manual setups and custom enhancements. Troubleshoot integration issues with external systems and tax engines (e.g., OneSource, Vertex). Manage UAT, support hyper-care post-go-live, and deliver user training and documentation. Work closely with data teams on field mapping, conversion, and cleansing efforts. Maintain audit readiness by ensuring compliance with ISO, quality, and documentation standards. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 12+ years of experience, with at least 10 years in SAP Finance/Controlling/Project Systems. End-to-end implementation experience, including configuration and deployment. Strong expertise in SAP Project Systems (PS) and RAR (Revenue Accounting and Reporting). Proficient in external tax engine integrations (OneSource / Vertex). Experience with SAP Financials modules: FI (GL, AR, AP, AA), CO, and PS. Familiarity with Agile project methodology and tools. Ability to support and troubleshoot integration issues across SAP and non-SAP systems. Fluent in business process mapping and documentation. Strong understanding of financial compliance, reporting, and transformation processes. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of SAP Business Transformation Platform. Exposure to SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC). Experience with SAP Data Services or other data integration tools. Bilingual in English and French (oral and written). Solid understanding of ITIL service operations and change management. Proficiency in Google Workspace (G Suite), MS Office, and project management tools.
