Job Title: DevOps Engineer
DPG is seeking a talented and passionate DevOps Engineer to join our customer's team in a classified environment. You will be constantly optimizing systems and services for security, automation, and performance/availability, while ensuring solutions developed adhere and align to architecture standards. Minimum Requirements:
US Citizenship is required An active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph is required DoD 8570 IAT2 certificate required, i.e., CompTIA Security+ Responsibilities:
Support transitioning a system that is tightly coupled to the underlying infrastructure Assist with architecture, design, development, integration, and support of build, integration & test, and deployment pipelines, optimizing for performance and scalability across on-premises cloud computing environments Leverage company and industry best practices to improve scalability, consistency, infrastructure efficiency, reduce deployment time, and automate configuration management Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, and DevOps teams to design and implement development and mission solutions Integrate security and compliance into the platform with services such as encryption and access management Provide operational support for the platform Administrative fluency with Red Hat Linux (v7+, 8+ preferred), Rancher, or vendor equivalents Experience troubleshooting applications & infrastructure services on Linux-based OS Required Skills:
5+ years of experience in Linux System Administration and DevOps, including installation and maintenance of software and hardware Experience administering Red Hat Linux systems with minimal support, including kickstart, patching (satellite servers), creating RPM packages, performance tuning, networking, user management, and security Extensive scripting experience in Bash and/or Python Experience with automation tools/frameworks such as Ansible, Chef, and Puppet Hands-on experience with VMware (ESXi and vCenter) and/or AWS Experience with developer tools including Git, Artifactory, Bitbucket, CI/CD tools, and Jira Experience with Rancher NAS and SAN administration experience Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for hardware installations Strong analytical and research skills, detail-oriented Ability to support occasional after-hours maintenance and rotational on-call support Desired Skills:
Experience developing, testing, and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework Proficiency in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Java, Bash, Perl, Ruby, C++ Experience with containerization Installation and management of fiber channel switches Ability to work independently and troubleshoot efficiently Effective communication and coordination skills with external personnel and vendors Benefits:
