Digital and Communications Manager

will be a program leader specializing in advancing N2N’s campaigns and basebuilding through traditional media and innovative digital communications. Key responsibilities for the Manager will include media relations, communications, and digital organizing and engagement. This hybrid role will require in-person activities in our chapter locations. Job Responsibilities: Media Relations Manage media relations, developing contacts with members of the media and maintaining a press contact list. Proactively identify opportunities for placing articles, op-ed pieces, and letters to the editor in partnership with staff and members. Coordinate media interviews with N2N staff and members Equip N2N staff and member leaders with talking points, training, and other preparation related to earned media opportunities Analyze local press coverage and keep N2N staff apprised of recent media narrative Track and report on press coverage of N2N and members Communications Build and manage the N2N communications calendar to identify, track, and plan chapter announcements, events, and press plans. Write op-eds, emails, press releases, advisories, letters to the editor, and other media pieces from various voices. Ensure the authentic elevation of diverse voices by working directly with organizers and members to deliver N2N-member written content. Plan and manage the design and production of public-facing organizational literature. Train staff and members on communications best practices. Support Organizers and the Campaigns & Policy Director in developing impactful, consistent, and targeted campaign messaging and materials for various audiences. Develop messaging and communications materials for C4-related campaigns. Assist the development team in creating fundraising materials for donor-related communications (i.e., donor appeal letters and newsletters) Develop and manage the quarterly N2N newsletter. Digital Draft digital advocacy, social media, blog, and website content pertinent to N2N. Author email blasts, newsletters, and other local communications for a variety of audiences, including N2N members and partners. Work with staff and members to develop tailored digital messaging supporting local campaign objectives. Serve as a community manager and moderator for N2N groups (including Facebook groups, WhatsApp threads, etc.) Serve as a conduit between chapters and staff in sourcing and drafting digital content, upholding best practices for email strategy and audience segmentation. Ensure local priorities are reflected in the statewide digital programming and communications calendar. Create and push out local digital content on social channels during live events. Engage social media audiences on all N2N platforms to increase engagement and following. Qualifications & Experience: Passion and commitment to N2N’s mission; experience working on issues relevant to our work; experience working in a policy/advocacy/systems-change organization preferred. Successful track record of leveraging data analysis to drive decisions, writing, proofreading, editing content, and managing digital campaigns. Strong project management skills and ability to independently lead projects toward strong outcomes and balance multiple high-stakes projects. At least three years of professional experience in a related field Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related

or

equivalent experience. Ability to take initiative, work independently, and be able to collaborate within various teams. Ability to produce and deliver clear, concise, formal, and informal oral and written communications to a variety of audiences. Exceptional organizational skills, high level of efficiency, and ability to manage operations and multiple projects at one time with precision. High-level proficiency, comfort, and fluency with Action Network, G-Suite, Slack, WordPress, Social Media, and presentation formats like PowerPoint are preferred. Salary & Benefits:

This full-time position pays $70,000-$90,000. Benefits include vacation time, sick days, fully paid health and disability insurance, travel reimbursement, a 401k program, and opportunities for career growth.
