Job Summary:

Aurora Day Camp is seeking a dynamic and experienced person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing our annual fundraising gala and charity walk and growing our donor base. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Who We Are:

Key Responsibilities: Event Planning and Management: Develop and implement comprehensive event plans for the continued success of the annual fundraising gala and charity walk. Coordinate all event logistics, including venue logistics, vendor management, contract negotiations, and publicity collateral for the organization. Oversee event timelines, budgets, and schedules to ensure successful execution. Fundraising and Sponsorship: Identify and secure event sponsors and donors. Develop and implement fundraising strategies to meet or exceed financial goals. Manage donor relationships and ensure proper recognition and stewardship. Marketing and Promotion: Create and execute marketing plans to promote events, including social media, email campaigns, and press releases. Collaborate with organization resources to design promotional materials and event branding. Engage with media and community partners to increase event visibility. Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers. Assign tasks and responsibilities to volunteers to ensure smooth event operations. Provide support and guidance to volunteers throughout the event planning process. Event Day Management: Oversee all on-site event activities, including setup, registration, and teardown. Ensure a positive experience for all attendees, sponsors, and volunteers. Address any issues or challenges that arise during the event. Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct post-event evaluations to assess success and identify areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports on event outcomes, including financial performance and attendee feedback. Implement changes and improvements for future events. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Proven track record of successful fundraising and sponsorship acquisition. Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in CRM, event management software and tools. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Seniority level
