Job Description Summary The SCADA Fulfillment Lead Engineer will be the resident expert for SCADA hardware and software implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting of wind farm auxiliary equipment. This person will lead the execution of new wind farm projects, mentor project engineers, and serve as the technical point of contact for Wind Farm Engineering regarding SCADA tools, processes, and implementation. Additionally, they will manage efforts to improve, maintain, and create tools that enhance the quality and efficiency of SCADA and control software implementation. The Lead SCADA Fulfillment Engineer will also help develop processes that meet organizational needs and resolve customer issues.

Additional Context The NAM Requisition Team collaborates with customers, commercial teams, design engineers, and field engineers, specializing in project configuration, product installation, Wind SCADA, Wind Farm Control, and mechanical equipment. The team primarily supports the order to remittance phase of new unit fulfillment, as well as modifications and uprates on installed turbines.

Essential Responsibilities

Support network and control system issues, providing technical expertise during site installation and commissioning at new wind farms.

Act as an engineering point of contact in customer meetings.

Review contractual requirements and translate them into product definitions.

Configure software to meet customer requirements.

Create and maintain engineering documentation specific to projects.

Configure software and control parameters per site needs.

Maintain relationships with internal and external interfaces to ensure customer requirements are met.

Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of tools and processes, including parameter development, control software management, and upgrades.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years of relevant experience in SCADA/Networking.

Minimum of 3 years experience in an engineering-related field.

Willingness and ability to travel 10% of the year.

Desired Characteristics

Advanced degree or certification.

Experience with equipment controls or SCADA control systems.

Strong collaborative problem-solving skills.

Ability to present technical information clearly to peers and managers.

Knowledge of SQL, OPC, ODBC, MODBUS, networking protocols, ControlST/MarkVIe, or similar controls software.

Experience in power generation, renewable energy, or wind industry.

Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Strong analytical skills, including root cause analysis.

Additional Details Salary range:

$98,400 - $164,000 USD

annually, influenced by experience, education, and location. The position includes potential bonuses, benefits, and relocation assistance. GE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer and requires legal authorization to work in the US. Employment is contingent on passing a drug screen.
