The Security Specialist III is an advanced-level position comprising several components: SCIF Access Control Service, Registry, Workforce Support Center, Key Control, Visitor Control, Transportation Service, Conference Center, and Escort Services. It is a journeyman-level position. Primary Duties
May be assigned to work at either the St. Louis or Arnold facility during normal hours from 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional weekends and/or night hours may be required for night projects or emergencies.

These duties and responsibilities will be rated during the Annual Performance Review: SCIF
Provide access control services, complying with NGA/DOD/Intelligence Community directives, regulations, and guidance. Communicate with NGA Police and Government Site Security. Provide security reports as needed. Registry
Receive, wrap, and ship classified materials via FEDEX, UPS, Postal Service, and DCS. Maintain related databases. Create Courier Cards and manage classified information within active regions. Workforce Support Center
Create, issue, and collect badges, access cards, keys, hangtags, and process visits and passports using various systems like Security Management System, Access Database, PeopleSoft, RAPIDS/DEERS. Assist customers and process clearances. Transportation Service
Support Ride Finders and Share-A-Ride programs. Participate in community fairs. Visitor Control Center
Issue temporary badges, maintain logs, and generate reports. Conference Center
Ensure access control, oversee facility security and cleanliness, and initiate work requests for repairs. Escort
Monitor uncleared personnel, ensure compliance with security regulations, and escort as necessary. Additional Responsibilities
Support quality control activities, communicate via radios, process NDAs, issue passes, respond to security alarms, support special events, maintain logs, assist in investigations, and manage security databases. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification as a RAPIDS/DEERS Verifying Official required. 4-5 years of security-related experience required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred; must have a good MVR. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI polygraph. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency with Security Management Systems, clearance websites, Microsoft Office, and ability to communicate effectively. Detail-oriented with high accuracy in work. Physical Demands
Must regularly stand, reach, talk, hear, keyboard, and operate security equipment. Occasionally walk, sit, and lift up to 15 pounds. Reasonable accommodations available. Work Environment
