Candidate will operate primarily out of a government facility supporting the Missile Defense Agencys Engineering Simulation program. This position involves hands-on support for MDAs distributed software threat simulation used in the testing of and training on MDAs tactical systems. Tasks include installation and configuration of the simulation software, troubleshooting and root cause analysis of anomalies and defects, and the providing of technical support during various MDA activities. These tasks will primarily be performed in the local government facility but may also require support in various other CONUS and OCONUS locations. In support of these tasks, the candidate is expected to adhere to current processes and procedures, participate in document reviews, attend limited meetings, provide status as requested, and collaborate with team members in person and electronically. The candidate is expected to be self-sufficient in the execution of these integration responsibilities within six months.
Required Experience:
BS in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, other technical related degree from accredited university, or strong experience and certification in related field.
2-5 years experience
10% Travel
Working knowledge of the Linux operating system (or other Unix variants)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired Experience:
Experience with hardware/software/network integration
Experience with troubleshooting hardware and software defects
Experience with Ballistic Missile Defense programs
Security+ and Linux+ certified
System Engineering Requirements Support for exercises
Test and Execution for the GMD System Trainer (GST)
System Test requirements for verification of new capabilities
