The DevOps Engineer is responsible for building and maintaining the platform services that run NetJets business applications. In this capacity, the DevOps Engineer primarily works with development teams to design and deliver infrastructure and platform solutions that meet operational targets for high availability, DR, logging, and monitoring, as well as implement DevOps and automation for infrastructure services and application deployments.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Ongoing application implementation, release, and support Design, delivery, and maintenance of platform services (WebSphere, Tomcat, NodeJS, Informatica, Layer7, Dynatrace, and AWS) Implement DevOps processes including scripting, automation and continuous delivery Participation in an on-call after-hours support rotation and Second/Third-level Help Desk ticket resolution for a 24x7x365 operation Establish, maintain and follow standard information security processes and remediate vulnerabilities per company policy Monitoring of NetJets server infrastructure and health, including the taking of proactive measures to ensure continued stability utilizing existing technologies (Dynatrace, Splunk, SolarWinds). 4+ years of experience in Software and/or Infrastructure roles, with at least 1 year in a DevOps role Previous administration in middleware technologies such as WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat, NodeJS Familiar with the fundamentals of web application and relational database architectures Understanding of Agile and other development processes and methodologies Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows system administration experience required Shell, Python, Go, PowerShell or other programming language experience is a must Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools (Jenkins, Bamboo) In-depth knowledge working with and managing Git (Bitbucket, GitHub, Code Commit) Experience using log management tools (Splunk/ELK) for troubleshooting Desirable Technical Skills
Experience administering and utilizing APM tools (Dynatrace/New Relic/AppDynamics) a plus Previous Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, HashiCorp Packer) desirable Knowledge/experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon ECS is desirable AWS / Cloud experience highly desirable Business/Personal Skills
