Emporia, KS - Hostess Manufacturing Plant Work Arrangements:

100% On-site, 8-hour shifts, (2) openings: one on 2nd shift and one on 3rd shift In this role you will: Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines, using hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments. Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts using hoists, cranes, and tools. Inspect used parts for dimensional accuracy with measuring instruments. Adjust functional parts and control instruments using hand tools and levels. Repair or replace defective parts with hand and power tools. Install special functional and structural parts in devices. Test device performance after repairs. Lubricate and clean parts. Set up and operate metalworking tools to make or repair parts. Requisition supplies, materials, and tools. Potentially repair electrical equipment. Ensure proper use, care, and storage of tools and equipment. Perform bearing analysis and installation. Analyze electrical circuits and diagrams, install, repair, and calibrate electrical systems to prevent overloads. Weld metal components to repair or fabricate assemblies. Perform preventive maintenance on power supply systems, generators, and air compressors to ensure system reliability. Respond to 24-hour emergency calls for repairs as needed. Additional skills and experience that would be beneficial: High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational education in Industrial Engineering preferred. Previous industrial engineering work experience preferred. Safety training experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to sit (5%), stand (25%), walk (25%), kneel/squat (25%), and bend (20%) for 8 hours. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds approximately twice per week. Capable of reaching overhead and ground level multiple times daily. Climbing stairs and ladders. Pushing/pulling heavy equipment such as compressors, barrels, motors, gearboxes, and panels. Tolerance to temperature extremes and exposure to dust, refrigerants, and chemicals. Ability to work at heights daily. Communication, reading, writing, and understanding instructions are essential.
