Provide pre-order onsite and phone/email technical and commercial application support to grow sales at End-user, OEM, Distributor, and System Integrator accounts and meet the Company's sales objectives. Provide technical sales and application support to the Nidec Control Techniques field sales staff, promoting sales of Products and Services to meet the Company's sales objectives. Assist and/or lead product demonstrations to customers. Must be proficient in all current products sold in the region. Be proficient in sizing drives, motors, and peripheral devices for effective application of the Company's products. Prepare PowerPoint presentations demonstrating the Company's capabilities, including developing demonstration systems if necessary. Assist field sales personnel and customers with selecting the best-fit products for their applications. Assist customers in developing software programs to operate complex machinery, including full development, debugging, and troubleshooting. Support the engineering organization by contributing to Technical Support and Field Service via email, phone, ticket responses, and site visits. Make scheduled on-site visits to OEM, Distributor, and User accounts to gather technical data and provide guidance. Travel throughout the region is expected, approximately 25%-50%. Education and Qualifications Four-year technical engineering degree (BSE, BSEE, BSEET, BSME, BSMET) or equivalent. Three to five years of experience in engineering/selling automation solutions, with a preference for experience with Drives and/or Motion Control, including PLCs and motion controllers. Proficient in Motion Control Programming with servo drive systems and vector drive systems; familiarity with IEC61131 platforms. Experienced in implementing servo drives and VFDs. Familiar with industrial communication protocols such as EtherCAT, Ethernet IP, Modbus, and Profinet.
