Job Summary:

The Supervisor-Nutrition Services is responsible for supervising employees who work in various areas such as cafeteria, production, patient meal service, tray line, dish room, catering, and Diet Offices, as appropriate. They ensure that food production, food service, and diet office operations adhere to established policies and procedures of LLUH. The supervisor monitors the timeliness and accuracy of menu selections, food quality, sanitation, and safety procedures across all areas within Nutritional Services. They provide supervision to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, assist with employee performance evaluations, handle human resource functions, manage time and attendance, and staff scheduling. Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Experience:

Associate's Degree in Nutrition, Hospitality, or a related field is required. Experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. A minimum of two years of experience in a food service environment is required, with at least one year of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting preferred. Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of inventory control is required. Proficiency in using computers, printers, and software programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint is necessary. Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment is required. The candidate should work calmly under pressure, collaborate effectively, accept direction, think critically, manage multiple assignments, organize and prioritize workload, problem-solve, recall information accurately, and pay close attention to detail. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision is essential. Visual and auditory acuity sufficient for reading screens, written documents, and hearing conversations are necessary. Color distinction and identification of workplace sounds are required. Licensures and Certifications:

Preferred certifications include Dietetic Technician Registered (DTR), Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Culinary Degree, Nutrition Degree, or Dietary Services Supervisor Certification (DSS). A current ServSafe Certificate is required. A valid Driver's License is required upon hire. Our mission is to continue the teaching and healing ministry of Jesus Christ.
