Full Stack Engineer with Azure Experience T and T Consulting Services Inc Type: Full-time Location Type: Hybrid Location: Bethesda, MD 20892 Salary: Not disclosed Project Overview: T and T Consulting Services, Inc. is working with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) as part of the Clinical Research Informatics Strategic Planning Initiative (CRISPI), aimed at integrating innovative chatbot tools for Institutional Review Board (IRB) processes using Azure's large language models (LLMs) on the Azure Infrastructure. We seek a Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in the Azure stack to create applications and workflows for the IRB. Job Summary: The LLM Engineer will be responsible for utilizing Azure native services to organize data for IRP protocol and NIH grants data to successfully integrate with LLM models in the Azure environment. The candidate will be responsible for the creation of an ecosystem and tool for successful implementation, which will provide NIH with: Assistance in protocol writing studies, leveraging years' worth of NIH data to assist in creating new protocol proposals/outlines that comply with consistent regulatory standards. Assistance in creating consent forms for protocol patients. Ability to summarize and compare protocols to provide researchers with a quick comparison of protocols. Ability for investigators and researchers to find open protocols and their use cases, providing potential collaboration opportunities. Primary Responsibilities: Requirements and Workflow Understanding: Work with stakeholders and the team Product Owner for clear requirements definition and iterative development demos, including front-end view. Collaboration with IRB Teams: Work closely with NIH's IRB and research teams to understand needs and translate them into effective AI solutions. Collaboration with Cloud Infrastructure Teams: Work with Central Information Technology (CIT) for needed Azure resources. Data Preparation & Processing: Develop ETL processes to extract, clean, and structure data for model training, ensuring data quality and integrity. LLM Model Integration: Deploy large language models in Microsoft Azure to assist with IRB document review, compliance checks, and data-driven decision-making. Prompt Engineering: Ability to design prompts to assist in guiding model outputs. Required Skills & Qualifications: Technical Skills: Several years of experience in full-stack development, cloud solutions, and software development life cycle (SDLC). Experience with full stack (front end, application, DB experience), particularly building apps on Azure Cloud Services. Knowledge of Azure VMs, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management. Ability to build a data processing pipeline and data integration models to work with the LLM (Python). Ability to work on the interface and user metrics (React or similar). Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills for translating complex technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders. Desired Skills & Qualifications: Experience with clinical or regulatory data and understanding of IRB processes. Solid DB understanding and ability to build databases, object storage, or data warehouses within Azure - Disk Storage, Blob, Azure SQL, Data Factory. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate. Experience with Power Platforms. Required Education/Experience: Education: Degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Machine Learning, or a related field.
