A Metalworking Sales Professional is responsible for creating profitable sales by aiding our customer base of manufacturing companies and job shops with solutions. Plan and execute sales events intended to create awareness of overall product and services to new & existing customers, within assigned geographic territory. Works in conjunction with the inside sales team or contract coordinator for customer accounts. Assist customers in product selection, introduce new items and concepts, and ensure overall customer satisfaction. Provides excellent service, communication and accurate information. Plays a key role to establish and maintain contact with customers. Responsibilities of the

Sales Professional

include, but are not limited to: Constantly strives to improve selling skills and knowledge by attending and actively participating in sales meetings, company meetings, vendor sponsored training, industry shows and conventions Continually hones technical ability related to machining and machining concepts Responds to customer needs and business opportunities in a timely manner with quality level of customer service Documents and leverages cost saving & productivity analysis Contacts customers to make sure products are performing to their expectations Develop and maintain relationships with customer and suppliers Introduces new items and concepts, literature, promotional collateral, demonstrates features and uses, and answers questions regarding product applications pertaining to DXP suppliers Making calls with supplier representatives to promote new products and garner product tests and application opportunities Selling across the breadth of the product platforms including industrial, safety and metalworking Working with other departments to resolve customer needs Maintaining a neat personal appearance, always remaining courteous and service minded, and representing DXP at all times in a public relation capacity Making calls to customers in an economical and systematic order of rotation to initiate orders for product Qualifications of the

Sales Professional

include, but are not limited to: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of metalworking and CNC tooling Comprehension of engineering math functions, and concepts of Algebra, Geometry and Profitability Problem solving, analytical skills and attention to detail Strong desire to learn, pitch in and grow with the company Must have clear driving record according to company guidelines Additional Information: Physical Demand:

Lifting up to 50 lbs and not very often. Driving, standing, and walking through machine shops Working Conditions:

Office and Machine Shop environment Training/Certifications:

Technical & Sales experience preferred Shift Time:

8am - 5pm Travel:

Local travel with occasional overnight. Must have clear driving record according to company guidelines Education:

High School or GED required.
