Job Summary MathWorks has a hybrid work model that enables staff members to split their time between office and home. MATLAB and Simulink are essential tools for automotive engineers, helping them deliver innovative software features and systems in areas like electrification, automated driving, and connected vehicles. These tools have enabled engineers to achieve efficiency while meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives. If you have experience with MATLAB/Simulink and a passion for driving their adoption to build the technologies of future mobility, this is the role for you. As the Automotive Industry Manager, you will utilize your industry knowledge to influence the company's strategy and increase the adoption of MathWorks tools and model-based methods among OEMs, suppliers, and technology companies. You will collaborate with teams across sales, marketing, and engineering, to evolve the plan for cultivating the northern Europe automotive market, create marketing messages for new market opportunities, and develop management relationships in the industry. In this role, you will directly influence how automotive companies perceive MathWorks. You will also advocate for customer needs within the company, ensuring that MathWorks' R&D plans align with the latest market trends and requirements. Provide guidance and support to the automotive sales and services team, focusing on Northern Europe:

Identify strategic opportunities and secure technical engagements to drive the adoption of MathWorks products at organization level. Meet with senior management at key accounts to align on a common vision that supports their business goals. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior management and technical leaders at key accounts.

Increase awareness of MathWorks and model-based methods:

Deliver presentations, organize events, and create content/messaging to evolve the view of MathWorks tools in support for the development of software-defined products. Cultivate relationships with key influencers to advocate for the benefits of MathWorks tools and model-based methods. Collaborate with critical partners and associations that offer technologies to complete customer workflows.

Shape and evolve the business strategy in collaboration with sales and technical managers:

Identify new market opportunities and execute targeted plans to increase market penetration. Advocate for key accounts and new market segments, influencing the direction of MathWorks products. Lead global efforts to expand and deepen engagement with multinational accounts.

Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required. Additional Qualifications

Strong knowledge of and experience in application of model-based methods with Simulink or equivalent software. Experience with embedded software engineering and system-level simulation. Prior relevant work experience with a leading corporation in the automotive industry. Motivation to work in a customer-facing and supporting sales & services teams.
