DevSecOps Data Engineer
on our Enterprise Data Solutions team, you will define strategy and execute technology solutions that make data available when our customers need it. You will define the future DevOps priorities to make the team more efficient, ensure data processes are secure and compliant, and help build new data pipelines for the highest priority enterprise initiatives. This position allows full-time remote work. How does a DevSecOps Data Engineer make an impact?
Design, build, implement, and support COUNTRYs IT solutions. Ensure IT solutions meet requirements for security, availability, capacity, resiliency, and performance in a way that is efficient and supportable, reducing overall support costs. Understand industry leading solutions and trends for assigned technologies and applying those as appropriate for COUNTRY. Understand business needs and partnering with appropriate IT counterparts to recommend technology solutions. Establish and maintain an IT multi-year strategy with a focus on continuous improvement. Create and maintain solutions architecture artifacts and other strategy and system documentation. Do you have what we're looking for?
Experience in defining and leading the adoption of DevSecOps best practices including automation, test delivery, secure code practices, and CI/CD pipeline management including use of GitLab. Big data knowledge including in depth understanding of data lake/data warehouse components, data management responsibilities, and data governance practices. Experience with cloud data platform solutions, with a working knowledge of Cloudera or other Hadoop data platforms on Azure preferred. Experience coding in a data environment, including strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash and Python/PySpark, and recent experience with big data tools such as Python/PySpark, Impala, SQL, and Grafana/Splunk logging. Experience working in a lead role within a SAFe Agile environment, including experience in a financial services/insurance organization, is ideal. Typically requires 10 years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education and training. Why work with us?
