$124,800.00/yr - $166,400.00/yr AZTEC is seeking a Railway Project Engineer in our Irvine, CA office to support our growing team. In this role, you will be an integral part of AZTECs Rail and Transit group, working on high-profile projects including high-speed rail, commuter rail, metro, light rail, streetcar, and bus rapid transit throughout North America, mainly in California. Job Description

The Project Engineer will be involved with the production and coordination of several projects concurrently. This position performs a full range of professional railway engineering assignments independently, requiring sound judgment and interpretation of guidelines. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, technically proficient, possesses strong communication skills, and is team-oriented. Willingness to travel periodically is also preferred. Duties Prepare railway and transit designs, including plans and specifications. Complete high-quality rail and transit engineering projects on budget and schedule, ensuring customer satisfaction. Ensure proper preparation and reporting of design documents, reports, inspections, and client information. Support project development to meet deadlines. Prepare and review design calculations, quantities, cost estimates, specifications, and project plans. Support overseas projects with the TYPSA Group Railway Department.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent. At least 5 years of experience in Rail and Transit projects, with preferred experience with California transportation agencies. California P.E. certification or ability to obtain within 6 months. Proficiency with AutoCAD and MicroStation. Experience with Microsoft Office applications. Valid Driver's License. Experience with Primavera and Project Wise is a plus. Local California experience is highly preferred.
