Stanley Consultants is seeking a Traffic Engineer for our Traffic Engineering, Safety, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) practices in our Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate will enjoy developing technical solutions, fostering close client and staff relationships, providing creative project development approaches, and maintaining a personal dedication to serving client needs and mentoring younger engineers. Responsibilities:

Serve as Project Manager, Project Lead, or Task Lead in traffic and safety projects. Prepare traffic impact studies, signal warrant studies, intersection design studies, safety studies, bicycle planning, and technical reports. Design traffic signals for new and modified intersections, including construction sequencing, pavement markings, signing, and traffic control plans. Develop Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) design plans. Provide technical assistance and quality control oversight on traffic engineering studies and designs managed by others. Support local and national practice areas with traffic engineering expertise. Supervise and mentor junior engineers. Represent Stanley Consultants at technical meetings with agencies, clients, and contractors. Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in traffic engineering, transportation planning, or ITS. Arizona PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months. Familiarity with MUTCD and AASHTO Green Book. Proficiency with SYNCHRO, HCS, SIDRA, VISSIM, CORSIM, or similar software. Membership in ITE or equivalent professional organization. Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of MicroStation, OpenRoads, AutoCAD, or similar software. Certifications such as PTOE or RSP 1 . Master's degree in Civil Engineering. Experience with DOT, municipal, or developer projects. Experience with Open Roads Design, Traffic Impact Studies, and Complete Streets projects. Design experience for ITS infrastructure and pedestrian/bicycle improvements. Work Flexibility:

Hybrid schedule with two days in-office, two days remote, and a flexible day on Friday, including options for a compressed 9/80 work schedule. What We Offer:
