location. PeopleTec is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team in Huntsville, AL to take a prominent role in the design, development, and integration of complex software systems supporting S3I. Duties: Open Standards:
Experience with Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE), Modular Open System Approach (MOSA), Hardware Open System Technology (HOST), and/or Sensor Open Systems Architecture (SOSA). Software Development & Optimization:
Support the design and implementation of software solutions, ensuring high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code. Assist with debugging and optimization for large-scale systems. Leadership & Mentorship:
Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to engineers. Participate in architectural reviews, design discussions, and ensure best practices across the team. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with managers, systems engineers, hardware engineers, network engineers, and other stakeholders to define system requirements and ensure seamless integration of software, hardware, and network components. Innovation & Technology Evaluation:
Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to improve development processes and system performance. Documentation & Communication:
Create detailed technical documentation, including system designs, APIs, and architectural diagrams. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Qualifications include experience with Model Based Software Development (MBSD), Agile processes, knowledge of scalable and high-performance software design, proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., C++, C), familiarity with network protocols, real-time systems, and experience with UNIX, POSIX, LINUX, ARINC 653, and Windows. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens with an active Secret security clearance and the ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance. Education requirements: Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of experience, or four (4) additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
