Electrical EIT / Electrical Designer Location:

Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical EIT or Electrical Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in MEP electrical design and is actively preparing for or planning to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. This role will provide hands-on experience in electrical design, system layouts, and project coordination for educational facilities. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems for educational buildings. Utilize Revit and AutoCAD to create accurate electrical drawings and schematics. Perform load calculations, short-circuit studies, and voltage drop calculations. Collaborate with mechanical and plumbing engineering teams to ensure seamless MEP integration. Support senior engineers in project planning, coordination, and documentation. Conduct field surveys and site visits as needed. Stay up-to-date with industry standards, building codes, and best practices. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in MEP electrical design. Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD (Revit experience preferred). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. EIT certification or actively working towards FE exam completion. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with educational facility projects (K-12 and higher education). Familiarity with electrical codes such as NEC, NFPA, and local regulations.
