Perform general Systems Administrator functions supporting all HPC users with courteous responses to their system operations and maintenance issues. Support Senior Systems Administrators in optimizing hardware and software components. Ensure the availability, integrity, efficiency, and reliability of servers, workstations, and data storage systems (Lustre, Bright Cluster). Create, administer, and manage Linux user accounts in collaboration with other System Administrators. Triage Tier 1 Service desk tickets, and produce service ticket reports and performance metrics. Assist in installation and testing of HPC system components, including setup and configuration of hardware, software, computing and data storage servers, networking equipment, and peripherals. Manage backup processes, security issues, and setup of Linux servers and software. Perform hardware replacements as needed, and support network configuration, security, and firewall management. Implement security measures to meet Program security requirements and adhere to all IT policies and procedures. Manage changing priorities effectively. Qualifications
Active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in STEM (e.g., CS, Engineering, IT) with 5+ years of relevant experience. Current DoD 8140 IAT II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE). Experience with VMware vSphere 6 or higher. Scripting skills in BASH, Python, or Perl. Familiarity with Kubernetes, containerized technologies, Ansible, and PostgreSQL. Knowledge of RMF, securing, and hardening Linux systems to meet RMF controls. Knowledge of CUDA, Google TensorFlow, or similar tools. Pay Transparency
The salary range for this position is USD $91,600 to $153,000 per year. Compensation depends on factors permitted by law. Benefits include healthcare, paid leave, retirement plans, insurance, and education/training support. EEO Statement
