Position Overview The Manager, General Affairs, Japan is responsible for managing a team providing administrative support for Exact Sciences’ business in Japan, all functions related to securing and maintaining office space and equipment for the Company’s activities in Japan, obtaining and maintaining general business licenses and authorizations needed for conducting business in Japan, supporting overall commercial business process , collaborating with global teams to ensure the Company is able to operate in compliance with Japanese laws and regulations concerning employee safety and working conditions.

This position is based in Exact Sciences’ office in Tokyo.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following: Manage a team of administrative staff providing support for commercial business processes such as HCP contracting, vendor contracting, purchasing and payment etc. Play a lead role in all aspects of providing office space and other facilities required for the Company to operate in Japan. Secure equipment and facilities for staff in the field in Japan, including home-office equipment, vehicles and appropriate allowances. Work with service providers and Exact Sciences global teams to provide financial facilities for Company staff, including credit cards, etc. Help foster a positive work environment to promote employee engagement. Ensure compliance with employee health and safety regulations in Japan, including disaster preparedness, as well as Exact Sciences’ safety standards policies, in particular:

Assist with compliance with local and country specific H&S regulations in Japan, as well as Exact Sciences safety standards and company policies. Assist with coordinating ergonomic evaluations, perform assessments and providing recommendations and adjustments as necessary. Assist in maintaining health and safety written training programs. Maintain emergency and first aid supplies. Promote a positive relationship and interact with local regulatory authorities, as needed. Support the EHS (Employee Health and Safety) Safety Committees. Coordinate emergency response (evacuation, hazardous material release, etc.) efforts, and assist with drills and training.

Play a key role in identifying, organizing, and resolving operational challenges across Exact Sciences Japan. This includes proposing solutions and executing them in collaboration with the Japan Leadership Team (JLT) and other relevant stakeholders. Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork. Support and comply with Company-wide quality management system policies and procedures. Maintain regular and reliable attendance in the Tokyo office. Proactively maintain physical health consistent with working full days in front of desktop computers, in meetings, and travelling locally, domestically and internationally.

Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized university. At least 7 years’ experience in an internationally oriented company. At least 2 years’ experience of people management. Computer skills consistent with performing the duties described. Native fluency in Japanese; business-level English fluency, both written and spoken. Authorization to work in Japan. Ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation. Ability to work flexible hours and travel as needed. #LI-BP1

Employment Term: This role includes a 3-month probationary period during which employment conditions remain unchanged. Employment is on an indefinite-term contract, and a one-month notice period is required for voluntary resignation, in accordance with company policy. Employees may be required to work overtime based on business needs, including occasional holiday and weekend work, with compensation provided per company policy and local labor regulation.

Salary Range: 11 100 000 ¥ - 18 800 000 ¥ The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. Additionally, this role includes either 30 hours of overtime per month or 10 hours of midnight work per month, depending on the position. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
