Hourly, Non-Exempt $33/hour with shift differential (wage can adjust based on experience) Eligible for additional compensation Full benefits - medical, dental, vision, supplemental first of the month after hire $5,000 sign-on bonus $5,000 retention bonus for year two & every year after All tools & equipment needed to perform the job is provided by Grand Prairie Foods Hours: 3:30pm-1:00am; Monday - Friday, Saturdays as needed

As a Maintenance Technician, you are expected to maintain Grand Prairie’s Core Values in all communications with employees, visitors, and outside service providers. HONESTY. LEADERSHIP. EXCELLENCE. ACCOUNTABILITY. TEAMWORK. Role The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment. These tasks should be done according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems, and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives

Responsibilities Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment

Provide

emergency/unscheduled

repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service

Perform mechanical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust machines

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities

Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties

Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas

Ensure that facilities, structures and equipment comply with food safety and meet regulatory requirements

Education & Training Requirements High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience

Knowledge of the manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery

Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers

Demonstrate full knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices policies and procedures

Demonstrate knowledge of safety in a manufacturing environment

Work Experience Requirements Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required

4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC

Advanced PLC experience a plus

An AA degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance - preferred

Vacuum furnace experience – preferred

Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing

Environmental Demands Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers Ability to stand, reach, lift, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull up to 75 pounds Exposure to fumes or airborne particles from moving mechanical parts and vibrations Exposure to variation in temperature Expectations Able to manage working in a diverse environment
