$20 per hour paid weekly, plus $1 shift premium for the 2nd shift! Summary Of The Role: This role is responsible for completing orders by selecting products from the warehouse shelves and assembling, palletizing, and/or packing the products/pallets for the customer orders. It is possible that as an order selector you may use a variety of electric industrial equipment and that you must work in dry product areas or refrigerated areas, including refrigerated and freezer compartments. What You Will Do: Locate and lift cases, bags, and/or pallets of dry groceries, frozen foods, dairy products, agricultural products, poultry, fish, beef, pork, and related products in specific quantities for customer delivery using order sheets or audio headsets. Operate electric industrial equipment (e.g., single and double pallet jacks). Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including performing inspections of electric industrial equipment using a safety checklist. Report damaged products, quality issues, and low volume/out of stock products. Utilize proper wrapping techniques to ensure product safety and prevent damage. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed. What You Will Need: High school diploma or GED preferred. Prior experience in order selection preferred. Prior experience in operating electric industrial equipment preferred. Ability to perform assigned tasks with precision while meeting production standards in a fast-paced warehouse. Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment in accordance with company safety policies and procedures. Ability to work in multiple temperature areas as assigned (e.g., freezers, refrigerators, dry conditions). Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Must be able to sit, walk, and stand frequently, use hands to manipulate, grasp, and twist objects, tools, or controls, and use both feet for repetitive movements such as operating foot controls. Must be able to walk, talk, crouch, kneel, bend, stoop, twist, and stretch hands and arms frequently. Ability to lift up to pounds with assistance as needed. While performing the duties of this job, employees are subject to a warehouse environment and may be frequently exposed to changes in temperature and humidity depending on the task. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, day and night shifts, and overtime as needed and as assigned. And they must be able to work in the specified conditions during 8 to 10 hour shifts as assigned. Travel requirements vary by task. As part of our
