Starting Salary:

$31.20 - $34.15

About this Position

The GIS Analyst II helps organize, build, maintain, and monitor the Geographic Information System, GIS database layers, and relational database information for the City of Edmond. Work includes developing, implementing, and supporting mapping applications and tools for the web, desktop, and mobile devices under the ArcGIS Server architecture.

These applications will include integrating mapping tools, database querying, and updating and editing of spatial data. Work may also include developing and providing information to City Council, City boards & commissions, staff, and the public to aid in various decision-making processes.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent General knowledge equal to 2 years of college 5 years of related experience and/or training

Or

equivalent combination of education and experience

2 years of management experience

People

and/or

project management

Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier Preferred Qualifications

Combination of education and experience equivalent to a college degree with major course work in geography, computer science, planning, engineering, or related fields Certification as a Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) Preferred experience in one (1) or more:

ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Portal SQL Python JavaScript ASP.NET Microsoft Visual Studio

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and customize GIS services and applications Maintain fluency in future mapping applications and techniques Automate internal and external processes by using available tools (models, scripts, programming languages, etc.) Provide documentation for processes and procedures Assist in geodatabase design, implementation, and maintenance Provide technical support for accessing the system/data or producing maps/reports in the GIS, work order, and other related software Maintain, update, and perform quality control on GIS data and associated relational database information Develop and provide maps, data, reports, presentations, and other information using various ArcGIS solutions and other applicable reporting tools Necessary Skills

Availability and willingness to occasionally work hours beyond a scheduled workday or to change work hours to accommodate duties Availability for call-in on problems (as required) Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings Benefits
