We are seeking a skilled General Surgeon for a 44-day locum tenens assignment in Iowa. The assignment begins on 08/07/2025, and involves providing 24-hour out-of-house call coverage from 6 AM to 6 AM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with scopes, bread and butter general surgery procedures, and C-sections. This role involves general surgery call coverage for a facility, patient consults to the ER, and basic bread and butter cases. Rural/Critical Access hospital experience is a plus. The position requires an active Iowa medical license and familiarity with Meditech EHR.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide general surgery call coverage for a facility

Perform patient consults in the Emergency Room

Conduct basic bread and butter surgical cases

Carry out scopes and other general surgery procedures

Perform C-sections as required

Handle a variety of general surgery cases in a rural setting

Utilize Meditech EHR system


Additional Information:
