Locum Tenens Opportunity: General Medicine Physician Near Frederic, MI We are seeking experienced General Medicine Physicians for a locum tenens opportunity near Frederic, MI. The role involves conducting Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments, offering an excellent opportunity to utilize your clinical skills in a meaningful and impactful way. Position Overview: Profession : Physician Specialty : General Medicine Start Date : ASAP End Date : Ongoing Shift Type : Days (PRN - as needed basis) Key Responsibilities: Conduct Non-Treatment Exams : Perform one-time C&P exams and Separation Health Assessments primarily through interviews and limited physical assessments. Assessments may include range of motion testing, muscle strength testing, and other relevant evaluations. Ensure the completion of all evaluations within 48 hours of exam completion, with no narrative report requiredonly standardized forms. Option for Flexible Coverage : Two options are available: Travel to perform exams at a leased facility or schedule veterans within your own practice. Work half days (4 hours) or full days (8 hours) based on your availability and preference. No Prescribing or Treatment : This role is focused solely on assessments, with no requirement for prescribing or ongoing treatment, making it ideal for physicians looking for a non-clinical role. Support & Training: Quick Credentialing & Onboarding : Streamlined processes to get you started quickly and efficiently. Training Provided : Comprehensive training will be provided for all Reporting/Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and the use of the provider portal. Use of Personal Equipment : Physicians must have their own laptop (no Macs) for completing evaluations and reporting. Required Expertise: Specialized Knowledge : Familiarity with Musculoskeletal, Diabetes, and Cardiology is essential. Proficiency in METs testing and the ability to evaluate and diagnose respiratory, cardiovascular, and neurological conditions are required. Certification Requirements : Board Certified or Board Eligible. DMA certification is available, offering CME credits upon completion (required if not already certified). Additional Information: Follow-Up Administrative Work : Regular administrative tasks such as addendums, medical opinions, and diagnostic readings are part of the role.
