Providing mentorship, teaching, and clinical oversight to the residents; supporting scholarly productivity among residents. Maintain collaborative relationships with peer educators; assisting in resident assessment and progression (in partnership with the program's milestones committee); assisting in the creation of an inclusive, psychologically safe learning environment for all members; and contributing to the success of strategic missions of the department and institution. Be a staunch advocate for the program and disciplines of family medicine and community health across the institution, regionally and nationally. Faculty members will maintain an active clinical practice combined of seeing patients in their own primary care office, newborn, adult inpatient and obstetrics desirable. Faculty members routinely precept residents in the family medicine clinic at the main hospital campus through their own clinical practice, and frequently supervises medical students in all locations. The provider will ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines used in the medical treatment facility and request timely consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
