Quad Cities - which has a total population of over 400, miles to Chicago 190 miles to Ames Join a collegial group of 6 general, hospital-based Pathologists and 2 Pathology Assistants who oversee two community hospitals and several critical access hospitals. The caseload is a mixture of biopsies, complex resections and non-GYN cytology. No GYN cytology is performed. Frozen section coverage and attendance of fine needle aspirations for adequacy assessment is required. Autopsies are rarely performed. No specific subspecialty training is required, however cytopathology or GI training would be looked upon favorably.
