Position Summary:
The Director of Talent Optimization will play a critical strategic role in shaping and executing our talent strategy across a growing portfolio of acquired accounting firms. This individual will lead the Recruiting function while driving initiatives in Organizational Design and Development, Talent Mapping, and Workforce Planning. By identifying talent gaps, strengths, and high-potential individuals across the enterprise, the Director will help ensure our people strategy aligns with the growth objectives and business strategy of a fast-scaling platform.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Strategy & Optimization
- Develop and execute a comprehensive talent strategy to identify, assess, and grow internal talent while attracting top external candidates.
- Lead SWOT and gap analyses across entities to identify organizational needs, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with firm leaders to align talent initiatives with business objectives while preserving local firm culture and autonomy.
Organizational Design & Development
- Design and implement scalable org structures that support growth while respecting the individuality of acquired firms.
- Assess current org designs and workforce capabilities to improve efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
- Drive succession planning, leadership development, and career pathing strategies.
Talent Acquisition Oversight
- Lead and develop a high-performing Recruiting and Employee Experience team responsible for sourcing and hiring across the platform.
- Establish talent acquisition KPIs and ensure a consistent, brand-aligned candidate experience across firms.
- Develop strategies to build talent pipelines for hard-to-fill and leadership roles.
- Develop strategies to build campus talent pipelines at colleges and universities.
Internal Talent Development
- Identify high-potential employees and build targeted development programs to accelerate readiness for key roles.
- Collaborate with L&D, HR, and business leaders to build skills inventories and professional development frameworks.
- Champion talent mobility and knowledge sharing across the platform to leverage institutional capabilities.
Data & Reporting
- Use talent analytics to guide decision-making, improve hiring, and measure effectiveness of talent initiatives.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports to track recruiting metrics, internal promotions, and leadership readiness.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in talent management, organizational development, or HR leadership roles.
- Demonstrated experience leading recruiting and talent strategy within a multi-entity or matrixed organization.
- Strong background in organizational design, talent assessments, and strategic workforce planning.
- Proven ability to build programs from the ground up in a fast-paced, scaling environment.
- Experience working in private equity, professional services, or M&A integration preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal, influence, and stakeholder management skills.
