Job Opportunity: Clinical Faculty & Assistant Regional Campus Dean
Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) – Bloomington is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our medical education mission starting as early as January 1, 2025. This is a full-time, dually-employed position with the School and clinical employment with IU Health South Central Region.
Position Overview:
- The successful candidate will be a practicing physician in any specialty, with a preference for those in primary care.
- Experience in leading medical education teams or projects, especially related to clinical education of medical students, is desired.
- Responsibilities include serving as the Assistant Regional Campus Dean/Center Director and managing the phase 2/3 (third and fourth year clinical) curriculum at the IUSM-Bloomington campus.
- The candidate will report to the IUSM-Bloomington Associate Dean and Regional Director, with significant administrative exposure to the central IUSM Medical Student Education (MSE) unit.
Clinical Practice & Additional Responsibilities:
- Practice clinically (0.5 FTE) in the IU Health South Central Region, with exceptions possible for subspecialty practices not available locally.
- Assist with operational needs at the campus, including budget, marketing, development decisions, and curriculum implementation.
- Participate as a clinical preceptor in phase 2-3 courses.
