Job Opportunity: Clinical Faculty & Assistant Regional Campus Dean

Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) – Bloomington is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our medical education mission starting as early as January 1, 2025. This is a full-time, dually-employed position with the School and clinical employment with IU Health South Central Region.

Position Overview:

1. The successful candidate will be a practicing physician in any specialty, with a preference for those in primary care.
2. Experience in leading medical education teams or projects, especially related to clinical education of medical students, is desired.
3. Responsibilities include serving as the Assistant Regional Campus Dean/Center Director and managing the phase 2/3 (third and fourth year clinical) curriculum at the IUSM-Bloomington campus.
4. The candidate will report to the IUSM-Bloomington Associate Dean and Regional Director, with significant administrative exposure to the central IUSM Medical Student Education (MSE) unit.

Clinical Practice & Additional Responsibilities:

1. Practice clinically (0.5 FTE) in the IU Health South Central Region, with exceptions possible for subspecialty practices not available locally.
2. Assist with operational needs at the campus, including budget, marketing, development decisions, and curriculum implementation.
3. Participate as a clinical preceptor in phase 2-3 courses.
