Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) has an immediate need for an Information Technology Director responsible for Digital Solution Integration (DSI) . This position will design, develop, and maintain value-centric, multi-level solution architectures and roadmaps aligned to Enterprise and Mission Systems priorities and objectives. The successful candidate will develop transformational strategies, implement change, and establish measures of performance, efficiency and effectiveness. This position is located onsite in Linthicum, MD , reports to the Mission Systems Chief Information and Digital Officer (MS CIDO), and will serve as a key member of the senior-management team.
What You'll Get To Do
- Develop and deliver an integrated technology strategy aligned with sector objectives focused on enabling outcomes of the business: cost control, efficiencies, speed to market, reuse & simplification across the sector.
- Develop and maintain Sector digital solution deployment roadmaps, including prioritization of sector technology investments.
- Maintain executable master schedule to include dependency mapping.
- Identify and mitigate risks.
- Determine and track metrics and ROI.
- Application rationalization/consolidation schedules.
- Develop and maintain Solution Integration Architecture - bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions, creating a cohesive IT framework that supports the entire sector working across various domains like business, data, applications, and technology, ensuring alignment and integration.
- Establish value tracking and ensure value pull-through of digital solutions in program EACs and bid/proposal BOEs.
- Drive global change management and adoption of digital solution deployment.
- Stand-up and Co-Chair Sector Technology Governance Board to manage CIDO technology investments.
- Forecast and manage sector non-recurring budgets for CIDO /technology investments in partnership with CIDO leadership team.
- Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant professional experience or a Master's Degree and 8 years of relevant professional experience (An additional 4 years of applicable work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree).
- Experienced program manager or equivalent with experience leading matrixed functional or program teams driving outcomes and achieving results, including leading aspects of digital transformation.
- Experience designing, developing and sustaining enterprise architectures.
- Prior experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT or Engineering projects.
- Management experience and skills, or other comparable leadership positions, to include management of offsite and matrixed personnel, and employee development.
- Results-oriented team player, with the ability to handle a rapidly changing set of projects and priorities while maintaining a strong professional presence.
- Must be flexible and demonstrate strong judgment/decision-making skills, strong business and technical acumen.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communications skills, as well as program management, strategy, analytical, planning, and presentation skills are required.
- 10% travel is required.
- US Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Prior Northrop Grumman Sector-sector specific experience.
- Prior experience managing a portfolio of diverse and complex IT projects.
- Creative thinking to solve resource challenges for large programs or products.
- Comfortable making recommendations that have broad organizational impacts.
- Possess strong interpersonal and written skills; strong organizational and analytical skills; and must be a team player.
- Experience managing supplier relationships.
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
