Work with the latest technologies and techniques in the aviation industry to source materials, manage inventory, and coordinate logistics. You’ll ensure we have what we need to service our customers.
As a Sr. Logistics Manager , you’ll be responsible to implement, benchmark, improve and control operational performance. This position will utilize management, organization, leadership, technical and aviation logistics skills to refine, develop and maintain site specific internal and external logistics networks to support the organizational needs.
Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working in logistics, warehouse or transportation operations...
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, transportation or business administration.
  • Expert knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel.
  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision making, negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of FAR and DFAR
  • Your ability to manage experience leading the daily operations of a logistics or material management team.
  • Your knowledge and experience of shipping, receiving and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Your experience in a DoD Aviation/Material control environment.
  • Your ability to meet the background screening to obtain a government Commercial Access Card (CAC).
What You’ll Do
  • Responsible for prioritizing efforts for all Logistics Team members, providing support between multiple programs competing for time and resources.
  • Recognize and understand flight/product safety critical parts and processes.
  • Reporting flight/product safety concerns.
  • Participate in proactive risk analysis of flight/product safety critical parts and processes
  • Maintain and manage the daily workflow of the Logistics department.
  • Maintain communication transparency between internal and external customers.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures as well as traffic laws, import/export documentation and regulations, transportation and postal regulations, and required custom regulations.
  • Manage corporate, international and domestic logistics functions. Develops short- and long-range logistics strategies.
  • Maintain international logistics strategy for shipping materials and products to, between, and from all company locations and customers as defined by Corporate Transportation.
  • Investigate and implement new procedures and methods to reduce transportation costs.
  • Audit and approve payment of freight bills.
  • Set performance goals.
  • Assure the materials, parts and assemblies are stored in an efficient manner for shipping and are prepared in accordance with company specifications.
  • Exercise authority in hiring, training, career development, performance appraisal, salary adjustments, promotion, discipline, health, safety and the general employee relations of direct reports.
  • Actively participate in the appropriate management team(s), assisting with the development and realization of strategic plans, budgets, goals and outcomes.
  • Carries out special projects as assigned.
