Description

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers.

Would you like to be part of a team that focuses on driving business outcomes for our customers by engaging directly with CxO, LoB, and IT leaders/influencers? Is your superpower connecting industry/business priorities to digital/AI strategy and solutions? Are you adept at identifying and quantifying business value from digital and AI-led business process improvements? Do you have deep industry experience (e.g., Healthcare - Payor/Providers, Financial Services, Media & Commerce, Supply Chain/Manufacturing, etc.), business background, executive presence, technical depth, deep modeling & analytical skills, and communication skills needed to help further establish Amazon as a leader in enabling business transformation?

In this role, you will focus directly on our strategic customers while enabling scale in support of our other customer segments. You will collaborate with sales leadership to lead vision, transformation, and value assessment consulting sessions with customers, including facilitation/analysis, crafting and delivering high-impact executive-level narratives and presentations. This may include conducting internal/external research, discovery of customer’s business processes/KPIs, business value analysis, ROI, and defining business transformation strategies. You will collaborate with customer executives to uncover, define, and communicate the financial impact of AWS’s solutions. Your success will elevate AWS’s strategic position with customers and shape the sales team’s go-to-market strategies and customer success initiatives.

The ideal candidate is passionate about driving business outcomes with digital capabilities and can combine value selling, strategy consulting, digital transformation, and financial modeling skills in the cloud/AI solutions space. They will have demonstrated strategic thinking aligned with complex global businesses and the ability to influence decision-makers through compelling digital transformation business cases.

A day in the life

  • Conduct research and discovery on customer’s business processes, objectives, market trends, and business value analysis
  • Develop C-level engagement strategies, executive narratives, ROI justifications, deal structures, solution strategies, proposals, and value impact analysis
  • Build and maintain a library of reusable value assets, including frameworks, benefit models, benchmarking tools, templates, etc.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to sales leadership by providing guidance on account strategies and prioritizing strategic pursuits
  • Engage directly with customer executive teams to articulate the strategic and financial benefits of AWS solutions/services to accelerate outcomes

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in developing, negotiating, and executing business agreements
  • 10+ years of experience influencing leadership decisions at the organizational level
  • 10+ years in GTM, business development, sales leadership, or partner management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
  • MBA
  • Leadership experience in management consulting, value selling/engineering, corporate strategy, transformation, or investment banking

The position’s pay range varies by location, from $158,400 to $262,000 annually, based on market, experience, and skills. Additional compensation may include equity, sign-on bonuses, and benefits. Apply via our careers site. The job will remain open until filled.
