A privately held and rapidly expanding homebuilder is seeking an experienced Market Manager to lead operations in the Greater Atlanta area. With a strong track record of delivering high-quality communities and a customer-first philosophy, the company is committed to excellence in every stage of the homebuilding process—from land acquisition through construction and sales.

This opportunity is ideal for a strategic and operational leader with deep roots in the residential real estate or construction sectors, who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

Position Summary

The Market Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of divisional performance—including production, land development, sales, and customer experience. This senior leadership role is instrumental in driving profitability, operational efficiency, and long-term market growth. The ideal candidate brings a combination of strategic foresight, strong financial acumen, and a hands-on approach to operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Direct all operational functions across the division, including construction, land acquisition, project management, sales, marketing, and service.
  • Develop and execute long-range strategic plans aligned with broader corporate goals.

Operational Execution

  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Streamline operations through improved systems and process optimization.
  • Create, manage, and monitor divisional budgets, forecasts, and P&L performance.
  • Drive revenue growth while maintaining cost controls to meet profitability targets.

Growth & Expansion

  • Identify new market opportunities and lead business development efforts including land acquisition and strategic partnerships.
  • Expand customer reach and market share through innovative product offerings and regional expansion.
  • Collaborate closely with sales and marketing to achieve revenue goals and optimize branding, advertising, and lead generation initiatives.

Customer Experience

  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through quality assurance, timely delivery, and proactive service and warranty management.
  • Hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional development.
  • Monitor regulatory compliance, safety standards, and external risks impacting operational continuity.

Construction & Development Oversight

  • Lead all phases of land development and construction, ensuring adherence to design, budget, and local regulations.
  • Manage supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective, high-quality execution across all trades and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in the residential homebuilding or land development industry.
  • Minimum 5 years in a senior operational or division leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing high-volume homebuilding operations.
  • Deep understanding of P&L management, budgeting, and financial decision-making.
  • Proven experience expanding into new markets or scaling operations.
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership presence
  • Skilled at managing multidisciplinary teams
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management capabilities

Note: This is an in-office, market-based role located in Alpharetta, GA. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are not available for this position.
