Our client is a large reputable Financial Services firm with over $100B AUM located in Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA). They foster a healthy work-life balance with great internal progression and excellent benefits. They are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Vice President to join their team.

Summary:

The Assistant Vice President will be responsible for coordination with the LA treasury, accounts payable teams, and the external fund administrator to manage ongoing cash and accounts payable needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Accounting for and reconciliation of cash, investments, and other balance sheet accounts for all infrastructure funds;
  • Determining and reviewing distributions and draw-downs;
  • Reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to clients;
  • Analyzing and calculating performance metrics for partnerships/accounts as well as for each investment;
  • Coordinating with funds’ independent auditors to complete annual audit work (approximately 10 entities) in an expeditious manner, answering inquiries and providing documentation as necessary;
  • Responding to investor inquiries by providing detailed and informative answers for client relations in a timely manner;
  • Performance analysis and reporting to Fund investors and for fund marketing purposes;
  • Implementation and compliance with appropriate policies, procedures, and controls;
  • Performing other tasks as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required;
  • Minimum 10-12 years of accounting experience within the financial services industry, preferably in the investment management industry;
  • Strong knowledge of reconciliation and account analysis;
  • Excellent understanding of accounting and the ability to apply relevant investment company accounting rules;
  • Solid analytical skills and ability to understand and resolve complex problems;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Compensation:
$235,000 per year
