Senior Manager, UX Design - Core Ecommerce

About the Role
As a Senior UX Manager on the Core Ecommerce team, you will lead a team to articulate the strategy and design for key parts of the Walmart.com and mobile app shopping experiences, focused on building and mentoring your team and workflow for high impact results. You will use your deep understanding of consumer app patterns and retail experiences to transform how our customers complete their shopping missions in our app and on our site. You’ll be accountable for the craft and timely delivery of your team’s work, and you’ll own and present a strong design POV within your partner set to shape market-leading solutions via the product roadmap.

- Excellent visual and interaction design skills and a keen understanding of trends in and out of retail.
- An ability to communicate concepts in a clear and compelling way to audiences of all levels of understanding and seniority.
- A demonstrable understanding of ecommerce and deep experience building experiences that drive revenue.
- A strong design aesthetic that integrates brand expressions and systems thinking. You practice universal design and believe in inclusion.
- Deep experience with business requirement gathering, end-to-journey mapping, facilitating sessions like Design Sprints, conducting competitive analysis, and leading rapid concepting and prototyping.
- Comfort with ambiguity along with an ability to motivate teams and partners.
- Ability to analyze strategic data and insights to create meaningful customer experiences.
- A track record of working cross-functionally with successful product launches in a fast-paced environment. You thrive in change.
- A strategic mindset and systems thinking approach to simplify complex problems.

- Designing at the highest level of craft for a broad Walmart customer base.

- Leveraging and sharing research, competitive analysis, data, and analytics to develop strategic products.
- Owning and driving a program of work with seamless collaboration.
- Recruiting top design talent and mentoring team members.
- Thinking holistically to build end-to-end experiences.
- Managing multiple projects and adapting to priorities.
- Championing Design Thinking across the business.
- Communicating effectively with kindness and empathy.
Preferred qualifications:
- Degree in HCI, Information Architecture, Digital Design, or similar with 7+ years of product design experience.
- Impressive portfolio of elegant design solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary Range
$143,000.00 - $286,000.00 annually, plus performance bonuses and stock options.
Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor’s in UI/UX design, graphic design, or related, with 5 years’ experience. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in relevant fields, with 2 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Design certification, product development experience, master’s degrees, industry experience, and knowledge of accessibility standards are valued.
