AIML - Sr. Software Engineer - AIML Observability

Description
Our observability solutions employ a variety of systems and services. We use existing and open-source systems when possible, but do not shy away from building new solutions ourselves. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers to lead the design and development of observability solutions for AIML products and infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical guidance, sharing observability know-how, leveraging AI pipelines, and mentoring the team to develop and deliver best-in-class solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong background in computer science, including distributed systems, algorithms, data structures, APIs, and highly-scalable, reliable systems and microservices.
- Strong coding skills in Go, Java, Python, C/C++, or Rust.
- Proficiency in AWS services such as EKS/Kubernetes, Amazon S3, networking, databases, and monitoring services.
- Experience in building observability systems for time series metrics, distributed tracing, logging, profiling, and telemetry data collection frameworks.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for cross-team collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and open-source contributions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building microservices using public cloud infrastructure and/or extensive private cloud environments.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale cloud-native distributed systems and platform infrastructure.
- Knowledge of large-scale observability visualization tools like Grafana, DataDog, and ELK stack.
- Experience in building large-scale alert management and notification systems.
- Experience using machine learning algorithms, Gen AI/LLMs for AIOps.
- Active contributions to open source projects.
Note: The salary range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers comprehensive benefits, stock programs, educational reimbursement, and other perks. This role may also be eligible for bonuses or relocation assistance.
