Team and Role Overview

The Corporate Accounting team at Canva is building the financial foundation for a fast-growing SaaS company. The team leverages automation, AI, and technology to streamline processes and support global expansion.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting – Compensation to lead and develop our compensation accounting team, overseeing payroll, equity, and employee benefits accounting. You will play a key role in implementing new systems and processes, ensuring compliance, and supporting global payroll setup.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the compensation accounting team.
  • Oversee monthly close processes for payroll, equity, and benefits.
  • Drive automation, process improvements, and leverage AI solutions.
  • Support internal controls, SOX compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize compensation processes.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading accounting teams, CPA required.
  • Deep knowledge of GAAP, SOX, and internal controls for payroll and benefits.
  • Interest or experience in AI-enabled automation.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in high-growth environments.

The target salary range is $169,000 - $237,000, based on market data and experience.
