Links Technology is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer IV to join a dynamic team in Annapolis Junction, MD. This is an experienced career opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge cybersecurity project that significantly impacts the DOD/Intel community. You will engage in traditional systems engineering and vulnerability research, with a focus on Offensive Cyber Operations (OCO) and Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), supporting assessments of large-scale weapons systems and critical national security operations.

Responsibilities of the Systems Engineer IV:

  • Conduct cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DOD systems, utilizing an OCO mindset to execute DCO activities.
  • Perform in-depth, long-term vulnerability assessments, applying systems engineering principles and analyzing available information, including architecture diagrams, build specifications, design documentation, and systems architecture.
  • Execute independent verification and validation of security requirements and capabilities, integrating systems resiliency and security engineering concepts into acquisition documents, such as Performance Work Statements.
  • Provide technical evaluations of contractor proposals, focusing on systems resiliency, security, and cybersecurity considerations.
  • Lead and mentor Senior Systems Engineers, ensuring their optimal utilization, skill development, and performance, while fostering a strong team with expertise in the systems engineering process.
  • Cultivate relationships with customers to gain valuable insights, information, and documentation, enhancing mission accomplishment.

Qualifications of the Systems Engineer IV:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of systems engineering experience (BS and 11 years, or Master’s and 9 years).
  • 6 years of experience as a systems engineering lead, with demonstrated ability to manage and collaborate with diverse organizations and teams.
  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance (CI within 6 years).
  • Experience with Zero Trust architectures.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Cybersecurity certifications (Sec+, CISSP, CEH, etc.).
  • Familiarity with NIST SP 800-160.
  • Familiarity with INCOSE-defined lifecycle systems engineering processes.
  • Experience with or knowledge of large-scale DOD systems.

Pay Range:

$235,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr
