Base pay range

$200,000.00/yr - $240,000.00/yr

Location: New York, NY, 10022 (Hybrid)

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join a prestigious NY law firm specializing in high-profile, complex, residential and commercial real estate litigation. The successful candidate will support a senior attorney with extensive experience in complex real estate, commercial, and construction cases, primarily focusing on litigation that proceeds directly to the Supreme Court. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional client service, organizational skills, and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing and litigating complex real estate disputes, including landlord-tenant matters, construction disputes, and foreclosure proceedings.

- Draft, review, and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with accuracy and efficiency.

- Support the senior attorney in developing case strategies, ensuring proactive and timely case management.

- Communicate promptly and effectively with clients, providing high levels of service and discretion.

- Conduct legal research, analyze case facts, and prepare summaries for case development.

- Maintain organized case files and documentation, tracking deadlines and case progress.

- Represent clients in proceedings before federal, state, and bankruptcy courts, with a focus on Supreme Court cases.

- Assist with negotiations and settlement discussions when applicable.

Qualifications:

- 3-5 years of experience in real estate litigation, preferably within a high-profile or complex litigation environment.

- Strong understanding of New York real estate law, commercial landlord-tenant issues, construction disputes, and foreclosure proceedings.

- Demonstrated ability to handle litigation directly and manage case files independently.

- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and stay one step ahead.

- Exceptional client service skills, with a commitment to responsiveness and discretion.

- Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize effectively.

- Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.
