We have an outstanding opportunity for a VP, Controller to be a critical member of the senior finance leadership team, responsible for leading the global accounting function, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the integrity of financial reporting.
This role partners closely with the CFO and cross-functional leadership to build scalable infrastructure, support strategic growth, and maintain rigorous compliance across complex, multichannel and multinational operations.
This is a full-time hybrid role based in our corporate office in Sherman Oaks, CA.
Salary Range : $230,000-$255,000

What Your Day Looks Like
- Oversee the global accounting function, including GL, AR, AP, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, tax, and revenue recognition.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and consolidated financial reporting.
- Lead external audit preparation and relationships with external auditors.
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls and ensure GAAP and local statutory compliance.
- Manage financial reporting for a complex, global corporate structure, including foreign subsidiaries and intercompany eliminations.
Operational & Strategic Finance
- Drive process improvement and automation across accounting systems, including leveraging reporting tools.
- Partner with FP&A to support annual budget, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
- Lead working capital optimization efforts (AR, AP, inventory).
- Manage banking and treasury operations as appropriate.
- Support tax planning and compliance, working with external advisors on U.S. and international tax matters.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance
- Own the company’s accounting policies and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory and private equity stakeholder requirements.
- Lead internal control and risk management processes, including support for internal audit initiatives.
- Partner with Legal, HR, and IT to ensure enterprise risk governance.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global accounting organization.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and clear career paths across accounting teams (including general accounting, accounts payable/receivable, and tax).
- Champion a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Additional Duties
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the CFO to support broader organizational objectives.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
- Big 4 public accounting experience preferred but not required.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate accounting leadership, including prior controller or VP-level roles in middle-market or larger enterprises.
- Experience in a private equity-backed environment highly desirable.
- International accounting and consolidation experience is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics D365 ERP and advanced Excel; exposure to BI/reporting platforms is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through growth, transformation, and system implementations.
