Intezra Inc. is a highly technical start-up that specializes in cyber development and engineering from tactical-level tools and capabilities to enterprise-level infrastructure and operations. Our leadership team and staff have helped solve the most complex challenges for our clients’ most critical missions for over 15 years.
Intezra, Inc. is seeking a Principal Product Engineer (AI-Integrated Solutions) to join our technical leadership team. This is a role for a product-driven technologist who obsesses over system design, architectural cohesion, and delivering software that creates real, mission-relevant impact. You’ll operate at the intersection of AI integration, infrastructure design, and user experience—driving the technical vision behind transformative cybersecurity products.
This isn’t a comfortable leadership role—it’s a hands-on, high-stakes position for someone with a relentless pursuit of excellence. You’ll question assumptions, provoke meaningful debate, and challenge the team to level up continuously. If you think in systems, thrive in ambiguity, and care deeply about tying engineering decisions to user outcomes, this role is built for you.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a key member of the leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, product prioritization, and long-term technical direction.
Drive architectural decisions across our entire stack—from backend systems and infrastructure to frontend interfaces and AI integration.
Set the standard for engineering excellence, maintain high code quality, and guide technical execution.
Champion systems thinking—connecting infrastructure, AI/ML capabilities, and user experience into a coherent, scalable vision.
Mentor and inspire engineers, elevating the team’s capabilities through strong leadership and example.
Engage with customers to deeply understand technical needs and translate those into roadmap priorities.
Lead by example, writing high-impact code and driving technical narratives that guide product evolution.
Facilitate intense but constructive technical debates, challenging the status quo in pursuit of better solutions.
Build a product-focused engineering culture grounded in continuous improvement, velocity, and real-world impact.
Skills Requirements:
12+ years of experience in software engineering, with deep contributions across full-stack environments.
Subject matter depth in at least two technical areas (e.g., backend systems, frontend architecture, data infrastructure, AI/ML), with strong working knowledge across the rest.
Proven experience architecting and scaling complex systems in production environments.
Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into real-world applications.
Strong architectural instincts, rooted in real-world experience building high-performing systems.
Excellent communicator—able to translate technical decisions into business value and vice versa.
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and observability tools.
Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive technical clarity in fast-moving environments.
Track record of aligning engineering output with product-market fit and user success.
Nice to Haves:
Experience in the cybersecurity domain.
Prior role as Principal, Staff, or Lead Engineer in a high-growth, product-driven company.
Hands-on experience building and scaling AI-powered systems end-to-end.
Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or thought leadership in the developer community.
Experience leading distributed or remote-first engineering teams.
Background across both startup and enterprise engineering environments.
Familiarity with AI frameworks and tooling relevant to secure and resilient systems.
Minimum Qualifications:
12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree).
- TS/SCI w. Polygraph required
