Faculty Position - Department of Pediatric Medicine, Division of Neurology

Job Opportunity: Pediatric Neurologist at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

We are seeking a highly motivated, faculty-level (clinical track) candidate at the Assistant Member level with training in pediatric neurology. The ideal candidate should have a strong interest in clinical care, health outcomes research, and/or quality improvement. Subspecialty training is desirable, especially in neuro-oncology, epilepsy, neurophysiology, or sleep medicine.

The Division of Neurology within the Department of Pediatric Medicine currently comprises one full-time and two part-time neurologists, one full-time advanced nurse practitioner, and a full-time research nurse. The successful candidate will provide inpatient and outpatient neurological clinical care and is expected to develop collaborative research within the institution. They will also supervise and mentor visiting medical students and residents and participate in educational activities for nurses and fellows.

This position reports directly to the Division Director of Neurology. Opportunities include participating in the long-term follow-up care of childhood cancer survivors attending the After Completion of Therapy Clinic, leading quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinic operations, and collaborating on research involving long-term childhood cancer survivors. The clinic supports numerous research initiatives aimed at characterizing and improving outcomes after childhood cancer.

Qualifications:

• MD, MD/PhD, or DO degree
• Board certified or eligible in pediatric neurology
• Ability to obtain a Tennessee Medical or DO license
