Engineering Manager - Metals
Responsibilities

  • Contributes to the development of the financial and technological goals through the Annual Operating Planning and Structured Requirements Analysis Planning processes
  • Identifies and develops process innovations to support the site's vision and long-term direction
  • Designs and executes plans, while leveraging the latest approaches and achieving organizational short, mid, and long term goals; regularly reviewing performance and initiating corrective actions, as needed
  • Applies technical expertise to develop existing and introduce new processes
  • Researches new technologies and technological trends to improve process and commercial performance
  • Ensures manufacturing capabilities, product and material application, and tool design standards are considered with respect to the implementation process
  • Coordinates and monitors the fulfillment of all legal and internal requirements regarding Health, Safety and Environment
  • Leads by example and line with the Freudenberg Guiding Principles and the Code of Conduct, while developing employees, driving Talent Acquisition and Management processes, and fostering a proactive work culture
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in engineering roles within the metals manufacturing industry.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory position
  • Strong understanding of metallurgical processes, materials science, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Communicates clearly and concisely, while serving as a sparring partner to internal/external stakeholders. Fosters teamwork between employees and across the organization.
  • Value for Customers: Drives a customer-oriented business strategy and provides indispensable support to deliver successful outcomes.
  • Innovation: Envisions the impact of potential future trends and proactively drives necessary changes. Encourages creativity and initiative from employees.
