Walmart’s International team supports Walmart’s global footprint—spanning over 5,200 retail units across 23 countries. We build software platforms that help Walmart procure high-quality products at the best value and ensure they reach customers globally, enabling them to save money and live better.
This role sits within Walmart International and requires a leader with strong eCommerce experience , technical depth , and the ability to drive complex programs that touch every step of the customer journey , from add-to-cart through post-purchase .
About the Role
We’re looking for a Staff Technical Program Manager with a minimum of 7 years of experience to lead strategic initiatives across Walmart International’s digital commerce platforms. You should have a strong understanding of eCommerce , experience working at a company that offers eCommerce products , and a deep understanding of transactional systems and customer flow .
You’ll serve as the connective tissue across product, design, data, and engineering—ensuring end-to-end delivery of complex initiatives with a strong grounding in technical architecture and systems design . You should have relevant program experience and the ability to influence cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, global environment.
What You'll Do
- Drive delivery of large, complex initiatives within the International Merchandising and Sourcing space, collaborating across product, engineering, UX, and data science.
- Lead programs focused on customer-facing transactional flows—especially the pre-transaction , add-to-cart , checkout , and post-purchase experience —ensuring scalability and customer-centric outcomes.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects to understand system designs, manage technical dependencies, and guide trade-off decisions confidently.
- Own the program lifecycle end to end: planning, execution, risk mitigation, and delivery with measurable results.
- Implement Agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban), deliver sprint goals, and manage capacity across multiple distributed teams.
- Develop tooling, metrics, and reporting strategies to monitor program health and ensure transparency and alignment with business goals.
- Improve operational workflows by identifying bottlenecks, driving continuous improvement, and scaling best practices across teams.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Product Management, or Project Management.
- Proven experience leading delivery of eCommerce products at a company with an active digital commerce platform .
- Deep understanding of transactional systems and customer lifecycle flows , especially in pre-purchase, purchase, and post-purchase phases.
- Strong technical acumen: able to understand and discuss architecture, design patterns, and system integrations.
- Experience with Agile development, JIRA/Confluence, and capacity management across teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, especially in cross-functional and international settings.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00, with additional compensation such as performance bonuses and stock options.

Preferred Qualifications...
Certification in Project Management, a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on strategy, supply chain, finance, or information systems, and 3 years’ experience in product design are preferred. Knowledge of creating accessible digital experiences following WCAG 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies is valued.
