Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Lynn, Massachusetts
Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Partner

Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for overseeing the financial strategy and planning of the company. As a key member of the executive team, the CFO will ensure the company’s financial health, support growth initiatives, and provide strategic leadership in budgeting, forecasting, and capital management. Strong leadership is a requirement that would include coaching, mentoring and regularly scheduled meetings with the department’s staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement the company’s financial strategy to support overall business objectives.
- Responsible for accounting operations conducted in accordance with GAAP
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across departments.
- Monitor and manage cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditures.
- Analyze financial performance and market trends to guide executive decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all financial, tax, and regulatory requirements (GAAP, IRS, state/local laws, etc.).
- Oversee financial reporting, internal controls, and audit processes.
- Lead and mentor the finance and accounting teams.
- Manage relationships with banks, tax accountants, and other applicable vendors .
- Evaluate and support M&A opportunities, vendor negotiations, and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and executive teams to improve margin performance and reduce costs.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to track business health and guide performance.
- Participate in weekly Executive meetings
- Oversees the operations of the accounting team , which includes accounts payable, collections and bank reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 10+ years of senior financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a CFO or equivalent role.
- Strong knowledge of project-based accounting, revenue recognition, and cost control in service and installation-based businesses.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital structures, financial risk, and funding strategies.
- Proficient in ERP systems, financial modeling, and business intelligence tools.
- Strategic thinker with exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
