Purpose of Job:
The Vice President (VP) of National Accounts is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market share within key national accounts. This senior leadership role manages a portfolio generating over $500M in sales, oversees a team of General Managers, and leads strategic direction, channel/account pricing, relationship management, daily operations, growth strategies, and budget planning for the OES and End-User segments. The role participates in the Commercial Leadership Team, influences corporate strategy, and promotes IB’s purpose and values. Reports to the Sr. VP, Commercial.
Strategic Leadership & Growth
Accountable for delivering volume and profit growth within a $500M portfolio, managing full P&L including pricing, trade spend, salaries, and operational expenses.
Develop and implement a national account growth strategy.
Identify new business opportunities and deepen relationships with key national accounts.
Set sales targets, monitor performance, and refine strategies accordingly.
Lead and guide national account managers and sales teams.
Communicate and advance the long-term vision for the OES and End-User segments, supporting company-wide strategic plans.
Client Relationship Management
Act as the primary executive contact for major national accounts.
Build and sustain strong, long-term stakeholder relationships.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements at a high level.
Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and problem resolution.
Sales & Business Development
Drive national sales initiatives and collaborate with regional teams for unified execution.
Create tailored solutions to meet client needs and differentiate from competitors.
Analyze market trends and customer insights to guide strategic decisions.
Partner with marketing, operations, and product teams to enhance offerings.
Lead growth initiatives, oversee sales efforts for new national accounts, and manage contract renewals—loss of key accounts would be significant.
Maintain quarterly business reviews for top accounts to assess performance and identify improvements.
Manage budgets, forecasts, and KPIs for national accounts.
Ensure alignment of account strategies with overall business goals.
Collaborate internally to optimize supply chain, logistics, and service delivery.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or related field (MBA preferred).
10+ years in national account management, sales leadership, or business development with full P&L responsibility exceeding $100M.
Proven success managing large national accounts and driving revenue growth.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Experience in strategic planning in a dynamic environment.
Leadership and mentoring experience with teams to achieve objectives.
Proficiency in CRM, sales analytics, and financial reporting tools.

Highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Champion key initiatives and engage with team members at all levels.
Lead the National Accounts Team daily.
Participate fully in the Full Leadership Team (FLT) and Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
